Rio de Janeiro was selected in the final round of the voting at the International Olympic Committee meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark, Friday night.

Dzeko extends with Wolfsburg until 2013
Wolfsburg - On Friday afternoon, VfL Wolfsburg proudly announced the signing of striker Obafemi Martins. And there was more good news for the ‘Wolves' to declare on Saturday. Edin Dzeko and VfL Wolfsburg have agreed terms on an extension to the strikers contract until June 30th 2013.
“The early contract extension with Edin Dzeko is a further positive signal for the future. Edin is a very important element of our team,” remarked VfL coach Armin Veh, who was able to announce the news just prior to the start of the coming league season.
Ibrahimovic will play for Barcelona
Inter Milan and Barcelona completed the rare feat of swapping one superstar for another when Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Samuel Eto'o changed places - with Eto'o also arriving at the San Siro with a sack of Euros and Aleksandr Hleb tucked under one arm.

During the latest round of qualifications for the Soccer World Cup in South Africa Bosnia beat up Belgium twice. First game played in Belgium ended with the score of 2:4 for Bosnia.
